Hello. I'm Tony Thompson - welcome to Mighty Wight Productions.

This is my music website. I was originally a gigging bass guitarist, but in recent years I have worked as:

*a producer, recording and producing acts;

*a programmer - a specialist in MIDI and digital audio setups, editing and designing new sounds;

*a remixer, creating new, different versions of previously recorded songs;

*a sound engineer, simply recording live performances;

*a lecturer in Studio Recording Techniques;

*a composer of library and commercial music tracks, including for video and multimedia use.

My main involvement these days is in writing and what you might call project development.

I've long had an interest in Spirituality and Complementary Therapies and I'm also a working Reiki practitioner. If you're interested, visit my Energy Healing website.

You can find me also on MySpace. These tracks call on my love of jazz, funk, electronic sounds and ambient and spacey music. What genre(s) does it fall into?. It depends which download sites you are using! I seem to find myself falling into Electronica bag if all else fails. Listen and buy if you like!

I have done lots of work on tracks with Brian Crisp, who is now back in Australia gigging some of the material and also moving into the area of production music and TV/video themes. I expect to be collaborating on material in this area soon.

*On the Downloads page you can find samples as WAVs, sampler instruments for EXS24, Halion, NNXT, Gigastudio and a Soundfonts files; there are 20 drum breaks as WAVs and Apple Loops. There are synth sounds as Sysex files and MIDI files and some drum beats in MIDI File format. All of this is my work, for free download.
